Getting There
✈️ Airport
The closest airport is Florence Airport – Amerigo Vespucci (FLR), about a 20-minute drive from central Florence. Pisa International Airport (PSA) is a larger alternative roughly 1.5 hours away by train or car, often with more direct flight options from the US.
🛂 Entry Requirements for US Travelers
US citizens can currently enter Italy visa-free for stays under 90 days with a passport valid at least 3 months beyond departure.
Starting in 2027, US travelers will also need an ETIAS travel authorization (a quick online pre-approval, similar to an ESTA) before entering — plan to apply a few days ahead of travel.
